Who should attend?

Players, coaches, executives, administrators, team staff, and personnel of the 2026 Summer League.

Why is this being held?

As there are many events in "Las Vegas" to attend during this busy and important time in the lives of summer league participants and attendees, simply pausing for a minute to:

1. give thanks for those opportunities that have been presented and that will be forthcoming, and

2. to simply learn and continue one's growth in the Word of God.

Who is Jake Butler Jr?

Jake Butler Jr, is the son of former Washington Wizards 12-year Chaplain that unfortunately passed away in 2012. While Jake, better known as Junior, has enjoyed success as a commercial real estate investor and developer, he has always been a part of NBA chapel services at All-Star Games, Hall-of-Fame Events, and frequent team events.

As a past attendee of the summer league, Jake noticed that no specific chapel service was officially scheduled as a part of the Las Vegas summer league event. As many positive and lifetime opportunities are created from this event, from both an on-court and off-court perspective, Jake simply wanted to take the initiative to host a short time of prayer and Bible lesson in order to take a pause from the action and give thanks.

It is my hope that you'll attend, and simply inform any additional staff, family members, coaches, or players that may not have received this message.
